In many positions offers a more comfortable viewing position by lifting the telrad further above the tube.
The riser base is simply positioned between the Telrad and the regular Telrad base. No tools are needed and it can be removed at any time.
The base has an effective height of 5cm (2"). We recommend it for use on Newtonians, Maksutov-Cassegrains and Dobsonians. The standard base is not included in the scope of delivery.
