This scope cover is designed to give the best possible fit for a Meade
16" LightBridge truss tube Dobsonian. The cover has two main connected
components: a cylindrical truss section with adequate circumference to
allow for clearance of the standard mounted finder, and a box-shaped
rocker section with enough vertical height for total coverage around the
rocker base. Double lap seams with micro stitching attach these two
main sections.
The double lap seam is highly resistant to moisture
penetration to assure that your scope will stay dry under even the
hardest rains. Combined with the waterproof characteristics of the
TeleGizmos solar material it is made of, this double lap construction
assures you of complete rain protection.
But protection from rain
is not the only benefit of this cover. The radiant heat barrier effect
of the TeleGizmos material also protects the scope from harmful UV and
heat build-up during the day. This reduces your scope’s cool down time
at night, allowing you to observe sooner.
And, of course, the
